The StockRoom Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory and managing the stockroom of a dynamic parts and equipment manufacturing facility specializing in electrical, assembly, machined parts, hydraulics, and valves. With over 4,000 SKUs, this role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in organization, inventory management, and accuracy to support efficient operations and timely production.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Receive, label, and organize incoming parts and components in the stockroom.
- Ensure accurate counts, tracking, and record-keeping of stock levels for over 4,000 SKUs, updating inventory management systems as needed.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies and reporting shortages.
- Order Fulfillment and Stock Replenishment
- Pick, pack, and deliver parts and components to production and assembly teams based on order requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to reorder parts and supplies as needed to avoid production delays.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring the accuracy of items and quantities.
- Data Entry and Record-Keeping
- Update inventory records in the company’s ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting of stock levels.
- Maintain files, logs, and related documentation as required by company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize production downtime.
- Communicate effectively with all departments to provide updates on stock levels, order status, and any issues affecting production.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree or coursework in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or stockroom environments, ideally in parts or equipment manufacturing.

- Proficiency with inventory management software (ERP experience a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and data entry.
- Ability to lift and move parts and materials up to [weight requirement, e.g., 50 lbs] as needed.
- Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
